Oilers Update - MacT Back in ETown


After being fired as head coach 3 years ago, the Edmonton Oilers have once again hired Craig MacTavish to become the organization's, senior vice-president of hockey operations. 

MacTavish comes back to Edmonton after spending one year as head-coach with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Wolves GM Wendell Young expressed his well wishes to MacTavish.

"The Chicago Wolves would like to thank Craig for all his contributions to the Wolves oragnization this past year.  We would also like to wish him and his family the best on his future endeavours."

MacTavish, led the Wolves to the post season only to lose in the quarter finals versus the San Antonio Rampage.  The Wolves completed their season with a 42-27-4-3 record.
