Oilers Update - IIHF Championship Sweden hammers USA

Edmonton Oilers forward Magnus Paajarvi added a helper on the Bergland's second goal as the Swede's went on to beat the USA by a score of 6-2, yesterday in Slovakia.

After Cam Fowler of the US tied the game at one a piece in the first, it was all Sweden in the second.  Goals by Kruger, Sjogren and Bergland helped secure the win for the Tre Kroner.

Viktor Fasth held the fort for the Sweden saving 30 shots out of 32.

Due to the loss, Team USA will now face Canada tomorrow night at the same Steel Arena in Bratislava, Slovakia.
