Oilers Update - Oilers Bagel Jets. Bunz Hero.

After coming off a 7-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks last Sunday, the Edmonton Oilers continued on with their winning ways by defeating the Winnipeg Jets 2-0 last night at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

19 year-old Tyler Bunz was the clearly the best man on of the match as he turned aside 22 shots to help give his Oilers Rookies their second win of the Young Stars tournament.

Chase Schaber opened the scoring early in the first 2 minutes of the game. 6 minutes later it was Ryan Lowery's power-play goal to put the game out of reach for the visiting Jets.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins settled for an assist on Lowery's goal.

Oilers center Ryan Martindale suffered a hip-flexor injury.

The Edmonton Oilers will now face the Calgary Flames tonight at SOEC in Penticton BC.
